1. Personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the store and look after you:
- Account details — your email address and a password (stored in encrypted form). We verify your email with a one-time code before creating the account.
- Order details — your name, delivery and billing address, phone number and email, the products you buy and your order history.
- Payment information — the payment method used and the transaction reference. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment partner’s secure page; we never see or store them.
- Messages — anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or the contact form, so we can reply.
- Preferences — your wishlist, the pincode you check for delivery (saved only in your own browser), and whether you agreed to receive news and offers.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit, collected by our website and hosting systems for security, fraud prevention and to keep the site working.
2. Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and verify your email address.
- To process, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns, refunds and exchanges.
- To send you service messages about your order — confirmations, dispatch and tracking updates — by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To answer your questions and resolve complaints.
- To send you news and offers by email, only if you agreed. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, keep the website secure, and meet our legal, accounting and tax (GST) obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, or where it is necessary to fulfil the order you have asked for or to comply with the law, as permitted under the DPDP Act.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only what each partner needs to do their job for us:
- Payment: PhonePe, our payment gateway, to process your payment securely.
- Delivery: ParcelX and its courier partners receive your name, address, phone number and order details to deliver your parcel.
- Email and hosting: our website hosting and email service providers, who store the site and send our emails on our behalf.
- Messaging: WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to chat with us there.
- Authorities: government bodies, courts or law-enforcement agencies, when the law requires it.
These partners may only use your data to provide their service to us. Some of them may store data on servers outside India; where that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards and we comply with any transfer restrictions notified under Indian law.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally up to 8 years under GST law). Messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your query. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
5. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, and outdated data updated.
- Have your data erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw your consent (for example, to marketing emails) at any time — this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, email support@rudraansh.net from the address linked to your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request.
6. Marketing emails
We send news and offers only if you agreed when creating your account. Every such email explains how to stop them, or you can simply write to support@rudraansh.net. Service messages about your orders are not marketing and will still be sent.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep you logged in, remember your cart and wishlist, and keep the site secure. Our payment partner may set its own cookies during checkout. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
8. Security
The website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, passwords are stored in encrypted form, account creation is protected by a one-time email code, and access to customer data is limited to people who need it to serve you. No system is completely secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9. Children
Our products and this website are intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use the site with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without verifiable parental consent.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed; important changes will also be highlighted on the website.
